Schumacher Park Interpretative Signs
Schumacher Park is located at 6500 East 93rd Street in South Kansas City. The eight interpretative signs in the park were prepared by the National Park Service. In 2011, the signs were renewed with funding from the 3-Trails Village Community Improvement District and installed by the Kansas City Parks and Recreation Department. Each sign has a graphic or photo representation and a summary explanation of the economic, historical and cultural climate impacting those who participated in activities that stimulated development, commerce and transportation on the trails that shaped Kansas City and became the Santa Fe, Oregon, and California Trails, today known as the National Historic 3-Trails Corridor.Related Files
